Extracted from the leaves of the Cymbopogon Nardus plant, Citronella oil is put to many uses in cosmetics, medicine, soap-making, etc.  Tracing its origins to Sri Lanka, citronella oil was largely used as an insect-repellant for an extended period of time till other uses were discovered gradually. Now the oil is produced in many countries including India, South Africa, Brazil, Taiwan, Mexico, etc. This oil is a light yellowish in color.
