Extracted from the plant species Pelargonium graveolens, Rose Geranium Essential oil is well known for its widespread application in the field of aromatherapy. The oil which has a great balancing effect, both for the body as well as mind has a sweet rosy smell. The plant which belongs to the Geraniaceae family is a hairy perennial shrub and grows up to a height of above 3 mt in height. The plant which bears pinkish-white flowers produces colorless to light green colored oil.

Drawing its origin from South Africa, Egypt, Madagascar, Morocco the plant was later introduced to Spain, Italy and France. The oil is extracted through a process of steam distillation from the leaves, flowers and stalk of the plant.

 

Rose Geranium oil – Benefits
